The award is usually presented at the Easter carnival but in these unusual times the announcement was made during the BGRA’s coverage of Bendigo Cup night. Young trainer Correy Grenfell landed his first ever feature race quinella in the 2020 Triple M Bendigo Cup when Yozo Bale sprung somewhat of an upset in defeating a red hot line up to claim the $50,000 winners purse.
