The 15th annual Gold Rush Carnival at Bendigo is just around the corner and with seven race meetings in eleven days featuring five major races and a culminating in the big Easter Sunday kids event the 2019 Carnival promises to be as good as ever.
Once again the flagship event of the carnival is the Jarrod Larkin Concreting Gold Rush Maiden with $10,000 to the winner of the final plus a Vicgreys bonus. For this year GRV is providing unplaced stake money of $100 to the unplaced runners in heats, semi finals and final of the Gold Rush maiden. The $12,000 to the winner Stayers Cup (660m), sponsored for the first time by Grays Bendigo is the major distance event of the carnival and the main sprint, the Easter Cup, also has a new sponsor in Ag Tyres & Wheel and the special event over 500m on Easter Sunday offers $3,000 to the winner.
In keeping with tradition there are two restricted win feature events being the Aussie Infrared Belle of Bendigo for the female greyhounds and McIvor Road Vet Centre Beau of Bendigo for the males both offering $3,000 to the winner. Vicgreys bonuses apply to all five feature events.
