With the Bendigo GRA race meeting tomorrow (Wednesday 20th January) being listed as “Heat Affected” under the GRV Heat Policy the trials after the race meeting have been cancelled.
Given the BGRA has a considerable number of air conditioned trial kennels in operation and more under construction, the Club is working in conjunction with GRV on an appropriate alteration to the Hot Weather Policy which will enable the BGRA to utilise the trial kennels and conduct trials after heat affected meetings while still considering the welfare of the greyhounds.
Trainers will be advised of the updated policy in the coming days.
